South Korea’s Top Singer-Songwriter IU dating actor Lee Jong-suk

Soompi, a Korean media outlet, shared Jong-suk’s agency statement, saying “This is an officially stated statement regarding the exclusive article on actor Lee Jong Suk. Actor Lee Jongsuk and IU have recently moved from being just friends to being a couple and are now in a serious relationship. They need your support to continue their wonderful relationship.

IU’s agency sent out a similar request asking for a warm reception from fans.

Dispatch reported that IU and Jong-suk had been together for four months before the statements were made. They claim that the actor and singer met 10 years ago on the set of Inkigayo’s music show. Their friendship grew into love over time.

Dispatch also quoted sources close to the couple who told the site that both their families have been made aware of their relationship. IU sang a celebratory song earlier this year at Jong-suk’s younger brother’s wedding.
